"Nano"
"Nano" is a tiny unit of measurement, one nanometer is equal to 10^-9 meters, about 10 times the diameter of a hydrogen atom. Nanotechnology is a new scientific research field that has developed rapidly since the early 1980s. The ultimate goal is for humans to directly manipulate individual atoms according to their will and create products with specific functions.
Nanotechnology
Nanotechnology is starting from MEMS (micro-electromechanical systems); sensors, motors and various processors are placed on a silicon chip to form a system. Computer memory chips developed using nanotechnology are only a few hundred atoms in size, equivalent to one thousandth of the diameter of a human hair. Nanocomputers not only require almost no energy consumption, but also have performance that is many times more powerful than today's computers.
Nanocomputers
There has been some encouraging news about the successful development of nanocomputers; researchers at HP Labs have begun to use nanotechnology to develop chips. Once their research is successful, it will pave the way for the development and production of other microcomputer components.
